Description: This is a website developed for my mother-in-law and her friend for their filmmaking careers. The original site was crudely made with links that were broken and colors that didn't match. When I redid their site, I incorporated a new logo, along with a new color scheme that really gave the site some class. Also included is a small, but pretty Flash navigation menu on the side of the page.
I've recently added a database system to keep track of all their videos, and have upgraded each director's page to show not just links to movies, but thumbnail screenshots and descriptions as well, and the YouTube player has been configured so that it's colors match more closely the colors of the site. Also added was a contact form that allows the director's email addresses to be kept private while still enabling viewers to contact them.
This site is currently a work-in-progress, with the next addition being a system that will allow the filmmakers to add their own movies to the site, complete with descriptions and screen shots, without having to know the slightest thing about HTML coding.
Justin Daily is a graduate of the "Trial By Fire" school of design, having jumped into a department-head job with little more than video tutorial training in Adobe Dreamweaver that he bought on eBay for $20. He lives in Anchorage, Alaska with his wife, his daughter, and his guitars.
